Ride For Shelter
Ken Morris Team Riding to Support Local Women's Shelters
Ken has been involved for years witH MOTORCYCLE rides to help raise funds for the Shelter Foundation. EaCH yEAR Ken organizeS a ride through the mountains with fellow Benchmarkers to raise even more!

In June 2022 we rode with a group of bikers 574 km in one day raising over $12,000. This ride took us from Cochrane AB to Golden B.C, to Radium B.C, before heading back to Cochrane AB. Two months later in August, we were joined by 13 other Royal LePage Riders who flew to India to motorcycle for 13 days across the majestic and rugged Himalayas – all in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.

During this adventure, we rode through pine forests, snow-capped mountains, and red rocky landscapes reminiscent of Star Wars. We also found ourselves on the Khardung La Pass, reputed to be the highest motorable road in the world at 5,380m (that is the same height as Everest Base Camp)! Days were long for both body and mind and there were few comforts of home available. While it was not easy, it was an epic experience in a beautiful part of the world and with the help of our supporters we were able to raise over $137,000 for shelter.

This year, 2024, we are heading to Colombia with a goal to raise over $50,000. Each dollar we raise will help make it easier for women and children in our communities to walk safely away from violence and build lives that are free from abuse.
